AIRPLANEINWEB / PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
You can use this flight simulator without an account. This policy distinguishes settings stored in your browser from information processed to deliver the website, advertisements and maps. Reading this policy or using the site does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional advertising processing.
Effective and last updated · v2
1. Operator and scope
This policy is issued by 주현진 for the home page, guides, flight interface and privacy page at airplaneinweb.com. Please use the email below for privacy questions and rights requests.
The app currently has no user accounts, login, payments, newsletter, user forum or visitor analytics SDK such as Google Analytics. It does not request device GPS, microphone or camera recording, or contacts. Flight audio is synthesized, not microphone input. Map coordinates describe the simulated flight, not your physical location.
2. Information we process and why
Information can be transmitted through website and external-content requests even without filling in a form. The table covers both the app and third-party services. Please do not email identity document numbers, payment details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
| Information and source | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| HTTP connection information, such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser/device details and referrer | Deliver pages and files, diagnose errors, protect the service and prevent abuse. Hosting and delivery providers also handle these requests. | Request processing and provider-specific log retention |
| Language, mute, volume, aircraft sound and weather sound preferences | Restore your preferences in this browser | Until browser storage is cleared or the settings are overwritten |
| Selected airports, simulated aircraft position/route, controls and camera state | Run the current flight and select the map tiles needed for the view | Flight state in page memory; tile requests may be received by external providers |
| Advertising cookies or similar identifiers, IP, browser/device details, page and ad impressions and interactions | Ad delivery, measurement, frequency management, fraud prevention and personalized ads where permitted | Consent choices, cookie expiry and advertising-provider policies |
| Email address, display name, message, attachments and replies you voluntarily send | Answer questions, handle rights requests and resolve disputes | See the retention and deletion section below |
3. Grounds for processing and choice
Connection information is needed to provide the pages and flight features you request. Support uses information you choose to send. We use information only where there is an applicable lawful ground, such as providing the service, maintaining security or answering an inquiry. Optional storage and personalized advertising that require consent must rely on that consent.
Where European data protection law applies, the grounds include providing the requested service, legitimate interests in operating a secure service, legal obligations and consent where required. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Refusing optional consent does not disadvantage you when exercising privacy rights.
4. Browser storage and cache
airplane-language stores your selected language in localStorage. airplane.audio.v1 stores mute, volume, aircraft sound and weather sound preferences. Neither has an app-defined automatic expiry. The app does not upload these entries to a user-profile server.
Map images, aircraft files and other assets may be cached according to HTTP cache instructions and browser policies. Caching avoids repeated downloads; it is not a login account or flight-history database. Flight state in page memory ends when the page is discarded, although a browser may temporarily retain it for back/forward restoration.
In Chrome or Edge, open Settings → Privacy and security → site data to remove this site’s data or block cookies. Removing preferences can reset language and volume; clearing cache causes files to download again. The button below removes only the two language/audio entries, not advertising cookies or consent records.
5. Google AdSense and cookie choices
Google and advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Where personalized advertising is permitted, these visits and inferred interests may influence ad selection. The operator can receive reports about ad revenue and impressions. The app has no feature that sends support email addresses for ad targeting.
Manage personalized ads in Google’s ad settings. Where a consent-management message is displayed for your region, review the purposes and vendors and reject or change consent there. Other ad networks may participate; check the message’s vendor list as well. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies for frequency management, measurement and fraud prevention.
An ad’s X button closes its visual placement. It does not retrieve information already sent or withdraw consent. This privacy page can also display a side advertisement; the Google advertising SDK may load when the placement is visible. This policy does not replace a consent banner; manage choices through the available consent-management controls and your browser.
6. External providers and disclosure
Map providers can receive your IP address and communication details, such as browser information and tile URLs, when tiles are requested. Those URLs can indicate the region you are viewing. The site address may also be transmitted under the browser’s referrer policy. Provider policies and contact details are linked below.
Render hosts the website; Cloudflare provides domain/network services. Cloudflare’s proxy and security processing depends on the features actually enabled. Messages you send to the contact address are stored in Gmail. Google advertising and public map providers also apply their own policies when processing information for their own purposes. We do not describe every provider as merely a processor acting on our behalf.
The operator has no procedure for selling support messages or disclosing them indiscriminately. Where disclosure is required by law, a lawful authority request, or the protection of rights and safety, we check the grounds and limit disclosure to what is necessary.
7. Weather and inactive connections
Live weather is currently disabled. No external weather lookup is made.
The current map setup uses open data. Cesium ion, Google Maps tile API and VWorld connections are inactive. CesiumJS is the browser’s globe-rendering library. NASA imagery, airport and aircraft files are served by this site; displaying a credit link alone does not send visitor information to the credited organization.
If live weather is enabled later, simulated aircraft coordinates are sent to our server, which queries Open-Meteo using coordinates rounded to a 0.25-degree grid. The app does not append visitor IP addresses or support emails to weather queries; the provider receives the server’s connection information. Weather cache entries are not associated with user accounts. Changes to connected services or purposes require a policy update and any necessary consent process.
8. International processing
Hosting, delivery, advertising, maps and email can involve servers outside your country. Main provider locations include the United States for Render, Cloudflare, Google and AWS; Austria for EOX; Hungary for OpenFreeMap’s operator; Japan for GSI; and France for IGN. A provider’s location is not necessarily the storage location: CDNs and subprocessors may operate in other countries.
Network transfers occur when pages, ads or tiles are requested, or when you send email. The information and purposes are described above; external retention depends on the linked provider policies and applicable settings. Applicable law may require specific disclosures, consent or contractual safeguards. This text alone does not establish that those requirements have been fulfilled.
You can limit optional advertising through consent withdrawal and browser controls. To avoid external map requests, do not launch the flight interface. Blocking essential hosting communication may prevent use of the site. Contact the operator for details about recipients, transfer grounds, safeguards and exercising your rights.
9. Retention and deletion
Support emails are deleted within 90 days after the inquiry is resolved. Where a legal retention obligation or an ongoing dispute requires longer retention, only the relevant items are kept for the necessary period and deleted when that reason ends. If an exception applies, we explain the grounds and period in response to a request.
The app has no per-visitor flight-history database or separate access-log storage feature. This does not mean hosting and security providers generate no logs. Render log retention depends on the workspace plan. Advertising, CDN and email providers apply their own retention and backup-deletion policies. We cannot promise immediate deletion of external logs we do not control.
Once the purpose is fulfilled, we delete electronic records and attachments under our control and remove unnecessary copies. Backup and email-trash retention follows the service’s policies. If weather caching is enabled in future, up to 128 grid entries remain in server memory until updated, evicted or cleared by a server restart. The ten-minute freshness interval is not an automatic deletion deadline.
10. Your rights and how to contact us
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or suspension of processing, withdrawal of consent, objection and data portability. An authorized representative or legal guardian can act for you. Email the request and relevant dates to the contact below. We ask only for proportionate identity or authorization evidence, not national ID numbers or passwords.
We review requests and respond within the applicable legal deadline. Requests governed by the EU GDPR normally receive a response within one month; where a lawful extension is needed, we explain the reason and duration. If we hold no relevant information or a legal limitation applies, we explain the reason and how to challenge the outcome. Browser-only settings and external-provider records may fall outside our direct control.
Where applicable, US state laws may provide rights to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. You can email related requests. The app itself currently has no automatic handler for browser DNT or GPC signals; external advertising providers respond according to their own settings.
The app does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users. For advertising selection and profiling by ad providers, consult their disclosures and choices. We do not unfairly penalize you for exercising rights. Unresolved concerns may be raised with Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission, its privacy infringement reporting service, or your local supervisory authority.
11. Safeguards
The public site uses HTTPS. Owner API keys intended for the server are not included in browser code. We limit access to operational accounts and related records, avoid unnecessary collection and copying, and use only the information needed to answer inquiries.
No internet service can guarantee perfect security. If a breach is confirmed, we assess its impact and applicable law and take necessary protective measures, user notifications and regulatory reports. Please report suspected disclosures or vulnerabilities to the contact email.
12. Children’s information
This is a general-audience flight simulator with no feature for collecting children’s personal details. It currently has no age-verification or parental-consent system. Children under 14 should ask a parent or guardian for help rather than sending personal information directly by email.
If we learn that information was collected from a child without legally required guardian consent, we investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion. Parents and guardians can contact us below. We also respect the child-protection ages and rules applicable in other countries.
13. Changes and related information
We update this page and its revision date when information categories, purposes, recipients or retention practices change. Material changes are announced appropriately on the site; changes requiring consent use a separate process. You can also request information about earlier policies or processing by email.
External links lead to services governed by their own operators’ policies. This notice explains the actual service and processing scope; it is not a certification or guarantee of compliance with every country’s laws. Contact us if translations differ in interpretation. Translations do not limit your legal rights.
